Job Requirements
- must be 18 years or older
- availability to work any shift including weekends
- devotion to culinary challenges and attention to detail
- ability to work in a fast paced and multi faceted kitchen environment
- willingness to maintain professional and positive work relationships
- ability to handle physical demands of kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- servsafe certificate and or food handler's card
- knowledge of fast paced kitchen operations
- experience in butchery cooking techniques and knife skills
- ability to write recipes and perform culinary math
- experience with standard kitchen equipment such as stovetops ovens mixers broilers fryers
- effective communication and leadership skills
- prior catering or event cooking experience preferred
Job Duties
- guide train and oversee other kitchen and FOH staff
- assist the chef with developing new food items and their integration into the kitchen
- assist in designing seasonal menus and off-season menus for special functions
- maintain positive relations with customers vendors and employees
- manage ordering and receiving of fresh goods shelf stable items and paper goods
- write recipes methods and use basic culinary math
- ensure proper care and storage of products
