This opportunity is presented by a vibrant restaurant located at 300 Oxford Rd in Oxford at the Quarry Walk, known for its unique ambiance featuring two dueling pizza ovens, two floors, two bars, and amazing outdoor seating. The restaurant is expanding with a new location soon to open in Guilford. The establishment is a dynamic and high-volume culinary venue specializing in a diverse range of pizzas crafted from a hybrid dough combining New Haven and Neapolitan styles. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar position
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in recipe development and menu planning

Job Duties

  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
  • Cook food in a timely manner
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
  • Inform wait staff about daily specials
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Supervise cooks and assist as needed
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
