Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience preferably in a healthcare, institutional, or high-volume foodservice setting
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and email
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience depending on formal degree or training
  • Catering experience is a plus
  • Experience in high volume and complex foodservice operations is highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and Internet
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates as needed
  • Develop daily menu items including preparation and garnishment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
