Job Requirements

  • Two to three years experience in culinary roles
  • Post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
  • Advanced culinary knowledge
  • People management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work hands-on with staff
  • Availability for flexible hours including events

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experience in managing people and problem-solving
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations
  • Availability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in food production, preparation, and presentation for assigned units
  • Ensure inventory sufficiency, record deliveries, handle discrepancies, and assist with storage
  • Maintain proper food handling and equipment use to ensure food safety and kitchen standards
  • Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, and coach staff
  • Resolve personnel and operational problems
  • Provide open communication and recommend disciplinary actions as needed
