Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of four years' progressive responsibility in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club, hotel, or cruise line environment
  • ServeSafe certification preferred
  • experience in all cooking stations and methods

Job Duties

  • Oversee food preparation and cooking in all production environments
  • direct and support daily kitchen operations and supervise food production and sanitation staff
  • assist with hiring and training new kitchen staff
  • assume responsibility for daily kitchen duties in the Executive Chef's absence
  • manage kitchen opening and closing procedures and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
  • participate in inventory management and development of par sheets
  • place food and supply orders
