Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age over 18 years
  • Background clearance as required by government regulations
  • Current food handlers permit
  • Minimum two years' cooking experience
  • Negative TB test results
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write and read English
  • Ability to operate computer and software programs including word, email, excel
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times with team members, residents, family members, and visitors
  • Must be able to lift and push up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day and community

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items in accordance with menus and recipes
  • Maintain professional appearance and promote a positive team attitude
  • Consult with Director of Dining Services on menu changes
  • Ensure food is served at correct temperatures and properly charted
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory management
  • Conduct quality assurance tests on food items
  • Supervise and assist cooks, servers, and dishwashers
