Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a similar sous chef or supervisory culinary role preferred
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work full time with flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to lead and train staff
  • ability to handle multiple tasks effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in scratch cooking
  • experience in supervising kitchen staff
  • ability to manage ordering supplies and inventory
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action
  • stores food following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • cleans workstation thoroughly
  • keeps display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interacts with customers to resolve complaints
  • demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items
  • keeps up with peak production and service hours
  • monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
  • tracks product production, consumption and waste
  • informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • performs other duties as assigned
