Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and manage kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Availability to work full time, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of culinary experience
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and preparation standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary actions
  • Stores food properly according to corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstations thoroughly
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
  • Keeps up with peak production and service hours
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries and tracks product production, consumption and waste
  • Reports to supervisor when supplies are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
