Job Requirements

  • Valid Food Handlers card
  • ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate preferred
  • Ability to work full-time with reliable attendance
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts excluding late night closing
  • Commitment to maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards
  • Experience in upscale culinary environments preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a Sous Chef or equivalent role
  • Proven leadership and team management skills within a culinary setting
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to creatively contribute to menu development and culinary innovation
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences

Job Duties

  • Prepare and oversee culinary operations for fine-dining and casual bistro venues
  • Lead, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to ensure high performance and team cohesion
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to design menus that emphasize quality, creativity, and resident preferences
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and ordering to maximize efficiency and minimize waste
  • Coordinate catering services and special events with attention to detail and excellence
  • Maintain consistent and dependable work schedules with no late closing shifts
