Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
- Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of special dietary needs
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle conflict and customer complaints
- Ability to multitask
- Compliance with food safety and equipment safety procedures
- Dependable, punctual, self-motivated
- Ability to work without constant supervision
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
- Possession or willingness to obtain Serv-Safe certification
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Familiarity with special dietary needs and meal preparation
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve conflicts
- Understanding of community quality standards and compliance
Job Duties
- Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff
- Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures
- Prepare high-quality food following established recipes
- Order, receive, and rotate stock in coordination with the Food Service Director
- Prepare and serve food items for assigned meals
- Assist in meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
- Adhere to food safety and equipment safety procedures
- Support other related duties as assigned by Supervisor
