Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a sous chef or related culinary role
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to work full time on a specified schedule including weekends
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain food safety standards
- Ability to supervise and manage a kitchen team
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of previous customer service, sous chef, and catering experience preferred
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers
- Proficiency in culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to manage inventory and control waste
- Experience in training and mentoring foodservice staff
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
- Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
- Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks production, consumption and waste
- Performs other duties as assigned
