Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in culinary arts or related field
  • prior experience in culinary management or progressive kitchen roles
  • ability to manage food cost and budget control
  • strong leadership and supervision skills
  • excellent organizational and menu planning abilities
  • proficiency with computer applications
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare foodservice environment
  • effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • A.S. degree or equivalent experience
  • some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience a plus
  • experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and internet
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • supervise hourly associates and support daily culinary operations
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
