Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in culinary production and kitchen management
  • Ability to provide technical training and mentorship
  • Skilled in menu planning and recipe development
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operation including production planning, meal service, and team supervision
  • Maintain kitchen operations and oversee food production in absence of Executive Chef
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is clean and organized after food and beverage events
  • Monitor kitchen support staff for inventory accuracy and efficient food ordering
  • Coordinate back-of-house team during food service periods
  • Oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules and kitchen opening/closing procedures
  • Contribute to menu and recipe development, testing, and training
  • Collaborate with dining room management to ensure seamless service
  • Educate wait staff on menu and ingredient knowledge
  • Monitor food inventory and create daily order lists
  • Work with Executive Chef on event menu production
  • Plan weekly production lists
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair
  • Provide technical training to new employees
  • Supervise, coach, and counsel kitchen staff to ensure quality and positive morale
  • Ensure adherence to food and beverage policies and sanitation requirements
