Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 8 years of professional culinary experience
- At least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in culinary production and kitchen management
- Ability to provide technical training and mentorship
- Skilled in menu planning and recipe development
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operation including production planning, meal service, and team supervision
- Maintain kitchen operations and oversee food production in absence of Executive Chef
- Ensure kitchen equipment is clean and organized after food and beverage events
- Monitor kitchen support staff for inventory accuracy and efficient food ordering
- Coordinate back-of-house team during food service periods
- Oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules and kitchen opening/closing procedures
- Contribute to menu and recipe development, testing, and training
- Collaborate with dining room management to ensure seamless service
- Educate wait staff on menu and ingredient knowledge
- Monitor food inventory and create daily order lists
- Work with Executive Chef on event menu production
- Plan weekly production lists
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair
- Provide technical training to new employees
- Supervise, coach, and counsel kitchen staff to ensure quality and positive morale
- Ensure adherence to food and beverage policies and sanitation requirements
