Job Requirements

  • college or culinary school degree required
  • three or more years of relevant culinary experience
  • scratch cooking experience required
  • preferred saute and broiler experience
  • preferred ServeSafe certification
  • ability to communicate in English effectively
  • physical ability to perform essential kitchen functions including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in varying temperature ranges

Job Qualifications

  • college or culinary school degree
  • three or more years in food and beverage, country club, fine dining, restaurant or senior living hospitality experience
  • scratch cooking experience
  • ability to read, write and understand English to manage kitchen staff and communicate effectively
  • sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and perform physically demanding tasks continuously

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef in providing oversight and culinary training to kitchen employees
  • supervise and coordinate culinary activities for all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations memory care, and Club Room
  • manage special events and private functions with professionalism
  • ensure all culinary operations adhere to Sterling Touch® standards
  • maintain high quality of scratch cooking
  • foster a positive and efficient kitchen environment
  • support compliance with community standards, processes, and procedures
