Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- several years of culinary experience preferably in leadership roles
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain
- proficiency in English communication
- physically able to perform kitchen duties
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- experience with inventory and cost management

Job Duties
- Manage labor and food cost daily
- maintain awareness of budgetary goals and investigate causes of budgetary misses
- assist with costing all recipes regularly to ensure consistent profitability
- complete weekly product orders to limit waste and spoilage
- follow waste tracking system as directed by the Chef de Cuisine
- inspect food deliveries for highest quality
- maintain professional vendor relations
- assist in staffing, hiring, and training kitchen staff
- supervise and evaluate culinary team members
- participate in training Front of House staff on menu knowledge
- prepare weekly schedules within budget
- conduct pre-shift meetings
- manage daily responsibilities of cooks and porters
- ensure timely and proper preparation of food items
- complete daily position checklists accurately
- enforce dress and grooming standards
- train new hires on kitchen expectations and recipes
- collaborate with Chef de Cuisine on menu development and events
- conduct multiple daily line checks for health compliance
- report maintenance needs
- promote and enforce workplace safety
- review daily time punches for accuracy and address time clock issues
- participate in community events and corporate social responsibility
- train assigned new employees
