Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of sous chef experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including varied days and hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to maintain a drug-free workplace
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • One year of sous chef experience preferred but not required
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to supervise and train food service associates
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations in the absence of Executive Chef
  • Capable of maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate
  • Stores food following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately
  • Keeps up with peak production and service hours
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries and informs supervisor when supplies are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
