Job Requirements

  • must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • must possess a positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • must be fluent in English, additional languages preferred
  • must meet physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting over fifty pounds
  • willingness to work shifts longer than eight hours when required

Job Qualifications

  • culinary degree or equivalent culinary pedigree
  • at least five years of culinary experience in large world-class resorts, hotels, or private clubs
  • prior culinary leadership experience in high-end restaurants, resorts, or private clubs preferred
  • thorough knowledge of cookery techniques and processes
  • extensive knowledge of local and imported food products
  • experience sourcing local and seasonal ingredients
  • understanding of occupational health and safety standards
  • knowledge of food and beverage operational requirements

Job Duties

  • supervise and manage all food preparation and kitchen organization
  • work closely with executive chef to train and develop culinary staff
  • manage ingredient quality and quantity to minimize waste
  • assist in menu creation, development, and pricing
  • schedule kitchen staff and control labor costs
  • ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and portion standards
  • maintain high level of food safety and health compliance
