Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous culinary or kitchen supervision experience
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including peak service times
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining quality and consistency
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen supervision or culinary management
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health department standards
  • Ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to enforce policies and maintain quality control
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Be on the floor during peak service times to ensure the smooth running of the food production and service including expediting and/or helping the line cooks and wait staff
  • Ensuring a consistent product is being produced and served
  • Select, train, and supervise kitchen staff in the proper preparation of menu items
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage including temperature-setting, and rotation of food products to comply with Health Department regulations and JetBlue food safety requirements
  • Adhere to control procedures for cost and quality
  • Schedule culinary staff to maintain proper coverage while keeping payroll costs in line
  • Supervise daily cleaning of walk-in and reach-in boxes for sanitation purposes
  • Perform other duties as requested such as VIP parties, staff meetings, and special events in house
