Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume, quality-driven environment
  • Knowledge or eagerness to learn Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and traditional techniques
  • Experience with masa and nixtamalization preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to mentor and build up others
  • Leadership with heart and discipline

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Passion for cooking and creating new recipes
  • Assist the prep and culinary teams as needed
  • Oversee kitchen operations and ensure the team is following standards
  • Track, order, and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Create, update, and price menus considering sustainable ingredients
  • Hire new staff, train them, and assign duties
  • Conduct quality control on dishes and ensure kitchen equipment is up to standard
  • Communicate with staff, resolve conflicts, and discipline staff as needed
  • Run expo and assist the team with running food if needed
