Job Duties
- Assist with menu writing and cycle of cost control utilizing appropriate recipes and costing measures
- ensure quality of all food products and final presentation meets standards
- support culinary team with food production, execution and presentation
- assist with oversight of catering operations
- maintain vendor relationships
- inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas for conformance to standards
- demonstrate new cooking techniques or equipment
- communicate with supervisor about equipment purchases or repairs
- assist purchasing and quality control of food and supplies
- determine production schedules and staff requirements
- maintain company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, uniform and productivity
- compile and record production or operational data
- manage department controllable expenses including food costs, labor, supplies, uniforms and equipment
- assist in budgetary process and recipe pricing
- assist with inventory management
- assist with culinary staff review process
- instruct, train and supervise kitchen staff
- provide excellent customer service
