Job Requirements

- Prior experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish
- Physical stamina to stand and move for long periods during shifts

- Knowledge of inventory systems and receiving protocols
- Experience with kitchen ticket flow and communication across front and back of house
Job Duties
- Lead the line and own service execution across all stations
- Work the line at a high level during peak periods
- Step into any station immediately and effectively
- Prevent tickets from stalling through anticipation and communication
- Maintain calm, control, and clarity under pressure
- Drive daily kitchen organization by ensuring all stations are fully set before service
- Maintain clean, tight, and efficient workspaces
- Enforce proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
- Execute and oversee all receiving protocols
- Check in orders for quality, accuracy, and proper storage
- Organize walk-ins, dry storage, and prep areas daily
- Train and guide line cooks with clarity and respect
- Set expectations and correct behavior in the moment
- Maintain a professional, inclusive, and focused kitchen culture
- Act as the Chef's proxy when they are not present
- Execute prep plans, pars, and production schedules
- Assist with ordering, scheduling inputs, and basic admin
- Build and maintain prep lists that reflect actual service needs
- Ensure prep is completed accurately and on time
- Eliminate last-minute scrambling through proper planning
