Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience or equivalent combination
  • strong organizational and project management skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • occasional travel availability
  • experience in food service procurement preferred
  • ability to work with diverse constituencies

  • proven project management and organizational skills
  • strong analytical and consultative abilities
  • excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and organizational communication skills
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • food service management experience preferred
  • certified purchasing manager (CPM) certification preferred

Job Duties

  • assist with vendor setup and credit verification forms
  • create purchase requisitions for approval
  • coordinate with culinary and supply chain teams to maintain data integrity
  • perform audits of nutrition, pricing, and sustainability information
  • manage calendar of purchasing and sourcing events
  • research item specifications, availability, and distribution volumes
  • communicate product and logistical issues to ensure food production quality
  • resolve invoice discrepancies
  • distribute vendor performance reports and analyses
  • investigate and apply industry trends to inform purchasing
  • support sustainability compliance and vendor adherence to third party rating programs
  • perform other duties as assigned
