Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in restaurant management or similar role
  • sommelier certification or equivalent wine expertise
  • excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong problem-solving capabilities
  • customer service orientation
  • physical stamina to manage restaurant floor operations effectively

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the general manager on staffing decisions including hiring training scheduling and evaluations
  • develop and implement training plans for servers server assistants and bussers ensuring general manager's review
  • directly manage dining room service efficiency organization and policy adherence
  • manage daily point of sale updates and maintain restaurant inventory systems
  • coordinate with general manager sommelier bar manager events director and assistant managers to ensure service cohesion
  • supervise staff for guest service cleaning and restaurant repairs
  • prioritize floor duties during service hours and communicate absence to co-managers or the team
  • cultivate guest relationships and handle complaints with professionalism
  • act as supportive team member coaching staff and maintain effective communication channels
  • conduct daily inspections and audits to ensure equipment safety and maintenance
  • uphold restaurant standards through regular walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness and compliance
