Job Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

- One year minimum experience in food and beverage operations preferred
- Prior experience with micros or other POS systems a plus
- Certificate of completion from the Guild of Sommeliers a plus
- Experience in luxury hotel environments a plus

Job Duties
- Assist in administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions, teaching and mentoring bartenders, servers, and other associates involved in alcohol sales
- Guide guests through the wine list with detailed descriptions and recommendations based on preferences and menu selections
- Engage guests in discussions about wine, answering questions and sharing insights and stories about featured wines
- Educate associates about wine regions, grape varietals, flavor profiles, and food pairings through training sessions, tastings, and educational materials
- Conduct associate training on wine service standards, including decanting, pouring, and presentation techniques
- Provide ongoing mentorship and support to develop the wine knowledge and service skills of team members
- Maintain the wine cellar in optimal condition ensuring proper temperature, humidity, and storage to preserve quality
- Conduct regular inventory audits and monitor wine aging and cellar rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability
