Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous sommelier or wine steward experience
  • knowledge of alcohol laws and regulations
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • commitment to continuing education
  • attention to detail
  • ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

Job Qualifications

  • strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • previous experience as a Sommelier or similar hospitality role
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • knowledge of alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • passion for continuing education in wines and beverages
  • attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus
  • proven extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits

Job Duties

  • educate and empower guests to navigate the wine list
  • describe the characteristics of various wine regions, varietals, and vineyards
  • provide exceptional hospitality that makes every guest feel welcome
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails
  • ensure compliance with alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • work collaboratively with the service team to enhance the dining experience
  • manage wine inventory and assist with beverage menu development
