Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or hospitality role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • Interest in continuing education
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or similar hospitality role
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
  • Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus
  • Interest in continuing education
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Educate and guide guests through an extensive wine list
  • Recommend wine selections that complement menu items
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to enhance guest experiences
  • Maintain deep knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vineyards
  • Uphold compliance with alcohol laws and regulations
  • Manage wine inventory and assist with purchasing decisions
  • Promote and sell wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails
