Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or hospitality role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • Interest in continuing education
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
  • Interest in continuing education and professional development
  • Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Educate and empower guests to navigate the wine list
  • Lead guests through detailed descriptions of wine regions, varietals, and vineyards
  • Provide exceptional hospitality to make guests feel welcome and at home
  • Ensure adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to recommend wine and beverage pairings
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails
  • Manage and organize wine inventory and tastings
