Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in hospitality or wine studies
- minimum of 3 years sommelier or wine management experience in a high-end restaurant
- certification from accredited wine programs such as Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
- leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Wine management experience in a high-end, full-service restaurant
- certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers (Level 2 plus) or WSET Level 3
- deep knowledge of international wine regions, varietals, and vintages
- warm, engaging, and guest-focused hospitality style
- strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development
- passion for wine, ongoing learning, and delivering world-class service
- well-versed in financials, inventory oversight, and team scheduling
Job Duties
- Lead the wine and beverage program with expertise, enthusiasm, and vision
- curate and maintain a global wine list that complements the menu and enhances the guest experience
- provide tableside wine service and offer pairing recommendations
- educate and train staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and food pairing principles
- monitor wine inventory and vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and product quality
- collaborate with the culinary team to execute seasonal pairings and special events
- maintain a strong leadership presence by working a full rotation of opening, mid, and closing shifts
