Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Sommelier or in a related hospitality role
- Strong knowledge of wines and other beverages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Compliance with all alcohol handling laws and regulations
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development
Job Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and sales skills
- Previous experience as a Sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations
- Interest in continuing education
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus
- Proven extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
Job Duties
- Educate guests on wine selections and pairings
- Lead guests through the wine list with detailed knowledge of regions, varietals, and vineyards
- Ensure compliance with alcohol handling laws and regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to enhance guest dining experiences
- Maintain the wine inventory and conductor quality control
- Promote spirits, beer, and cocktails knowledge alongside wine
- Attend ongoing training and continue expanding beverage expertise
