Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or hospitality role
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • Interest in continuing education
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or hospitality role
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in continuing education
  • Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus
  • Proven and extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
  • Attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Educate and empower guests to navigate the wine list
  • Communicate detailed knowledge about wine regions, varietals, and vineyards
  • Provide exceptional hospitality beyond standard service
  • Lead by example with honesty and integrity
  • Maintain comprehensive beverage knowledge including spirits, beer, and cocktails
  • Ensure adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to enhance guest experiences
