Job Requirements
- maintain a clean, well-organized wine cellar
- recommend wine and beverage pairings
- upsell tableside and retail wine offerings
- stay updated on wine list changes
- assist with monthly inventory
- knowledge of cocktail and beverage facts
- ability to open wine bottles to standard
- provide warm and knowledgeable guest service
- accommodate guests individually
- maintain professional composure
- identify and report problems
- follow steps of service
- respond to guest needs including taking orders, running food, bussing tables
- oversee team activities in the station
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds for entire shift
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 2 years sommelier experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- extensive knowledge of wine, winemaking, beer, and spirits
- strong guest service skills
- ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- problem-solving aptitude
- fluency in English
- ability to use point of sale (POS) systems
Job Duties
