Job Requirements

Previous hospitality experience
Knowledge of proper wine service techniques including serving temperatures, glassware selection, and decanting
Fundamental knowledge of the wine regions of the world
Wine certification from an accredited wine institution preferred
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to write and verbally communicate effectively
Must have good positive energy throughout the day
Must be able to print legibly for team members, management, and guests to read
Must be able to bend, kneel, and/or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to move quickly
Must be able to push and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
Effective team player with professional and courteous interactions

Job Qualifications

Previous hospitality experience

Job Duties

Actively take wine and beverage orders and offer expert recommendations to guests to enhance their dining experience
Anticipate and accommodate the needs of the guests
Maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and the entire venue
Accurately enter all orders into the POS system
Follow supervisor's instructions and communicate effectively with team members while being a team player
Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company
Possess excellent knowledge of the venue's wine list and be well versed in classic and creative wine and food pairings
Assist in or lead staff education sessions
Serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training
Comply with Department of Health standards
Work as part of a team and provide support to fellow team members
Accurately complete all end-of-shift wine sales reports
Communicate guests' needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House staff, managers, and chefs
Properly set-up floor and side stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed
Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings and training sessions
Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and supporting hotel environments
Portray a positive and professional attitude
Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
