Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience
- ability to work full time schedule with flexible days and hours
- excellent customer service skills
- knowledge of wine and beverage pairings
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- compliance with health and safety protocols including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a sommelier or similar hospitality role
- excellent knowledge of wine varieties and food pairings
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including varied days and hours
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in handling cash and operating relevant dining equipment
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- takes food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
- delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
- collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
