Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • ability to work full time schedule with flexible days and hours
  • excellent customer service skills
  • knowledge of wine and beverage pairings
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • compliance with health and safety protocols including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • legal eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a sommelier or similar hospitality role
  • excellent knowledge of wine varieties and food pairings
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including varied days and hours
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in handling cash and operating relevant dining equipment

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • takes food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service
  • delivers food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
  • communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
  • collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
