Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced fine dining environment
- Must be knowledgeable in wine regions, grape varieties, and vintages
- Experience handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to maintain wine cellar and inventory controls
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to commute or relocate to Santa Barbara, CA 93108
- Available for evening shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven customer service skills
- In-depth knowledge of wine and fine dining
- Proficiency with Aloha POS and other restaurant POS systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with culinary team
- Experience in bartending or wine service is a plus
- Wine certifications are a plus
Job Duties
- Provide expert wine service to guests, making recommendations and answering questions about wine selection and pairings
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the wine list, including wine regions, grape varieties, and vintages
- Ensure all wine service meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and attention to detail
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairings that complement menu offerings
- Manage the wine cellar, including inventory control, wine storage, and maintenance
- Work with the management team to develop wine programs and promotions
- Assist with wine-related events such as wine tastings and wine dinners
