Job Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- minimum 2 years of sommelier experience in a fine dining restaurant
- excellent knowledge of global wines beverage service procedures and food pairings
- strong organizational multi-tasking and cost-control skills
- ability to identify wine faults and ensure proper storage and serving temperatures
- skilled in upselling and enhancing the guest experience
- outstanding guest service and communication skills verbal and written
- professional presentation and positive attitude
- basic math skills and ability to operate a POS system

Job Duties
- Receive inventory organize and maintain the restaurant's wine program
- assist with wine purchases pricing and cost management
- guide guests with thoughtful wine recommendations pairings and tableside service including decanting
- train and mentor staff on wine knowledge proper service techniques glassware pour levels storage and guest engagement
- taste and evaluate wines and other beverages for potential purchase
- ensure all wine is served in proper glassware and optimal condition
- maintain all wine and beverage lists to be accurate current and error-free
- comply with all health safety and hygiene standards and policies
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
