Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior sommelier or beverage service experience
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to lead and mentor junior team members
- proficiency in wine inventory management
- knowledge of food allergens and dietary restrictions
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- physical ability to handle inventory and restocking tasks

Job Duties
- perform all duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the operation
- represent the company in a professional and exemplary manner and promote the success of the restaurant to guests, staff and other parties
- lead wine floor service and ensure junior sommeliers and service team are engaging guests in a manner congruent with brand standards
- assist with training employees on their wine and sake knowledge and initiate an ongoing staff wine and sake education and training program
- assist with beverage list maintenance and accuracy
- assist with wine inventory, keeping wine par levels, and updating beverage menus
- work to ensure wine inventory for private events and maintain and update private dining wine pars
- assist with receiving and restocking deliveries, delivery accuracy and updating out of stock items
- keep wine storage accuracy, cleanliness, and upkeep of wine storage in excellent repair
- work to minimize costs, maximize guest perceptions, and maximize profitability for ownership
- possess advanced knowledge of the food and beverage offerings including ingredients, allergens, dietary limitations, daily specials and restaurant concept overview
