Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality
- excellent palate and sensory evaluation skills
- strong organizational abilities
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- knowledge of wine storage and cellar management
- commitment to confidentiality and discretion
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a sommelier or in a similar role
- extensive knowledge of international wines and wine regions
- strong customer service and communication skills
- certification from a recognized sommeliers association preferred
- ability to work in a high-end, fast-paced restaurant environment
- passion for fine dining and wine culture
Job Duties
- provide expert wine recommendations to guests
- curate and maintain the restaurant's wine list
- manage wine inventory and storage conditions
- collaborate with chefs and service staff for wine pairings
- educate guests and staff about wine regions and selections
- oversee proper wine service techniques
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations pertaining to beverage service
