Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality
  • excellent palate and sensory evaluation skills
  • strong organizational abilities
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • knowledge of wine storage and cellar management
  • commitment to confidentiality and discretion

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as a sommelier or in a similar role
  • extensive knowledge of international wines and wine regions
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • certification from a recognized sommeliers association preferred
  • ability to work in a high-end, fast-paced restaurant environment
  • passion for fine dining and wine culture

Job Duties

  • provide expert wine recommendations to guests
  • curate and maintain the restaurant's wine list
  • manage wine inventory and storage conditions
  • collaborate with chefs and service staff for wine pairings
  • educate guests and staff about wine regions and selections
  • oversee proper wine service techniques
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations pertaining to beverage service
