Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years experience in a sommelier or wine management role
  • certification from a recognized sommelier or wine education program preferred
  • strong knowledge of wine production and service standards
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • physically able to handle wine inventory and stand for extended periods
  • willing to uphold the resort’s high standards of service and presentation

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as a sommelier or in a similar wine-focused role
  • deep knowledge of wine regions varietals vintages and pairing principles
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to conduct engaging wine tastings and staff training
  • experience working in fine dining or luxury hospitality environments
  • creativity in developing wine programs and pairings
  • passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Duties

  • curate and manage the restaurant’s wine list ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection
  • share wine expertise with guests and service staff to enhance the dining experience
  • collaborate with the Executive Chef on daily menu changes and wine pairings
  • conduct wine tastings and training sessions for staff to improve wine knowledge and service standards
  • stay updated on wine trends regions and vintages to maintain a current and competitive wine program
  • innovate strategies to increase wine knowledge and sales in The Dining Room
  • provide a professional welcoming personality that embodies exceptional service
