Job Requirements

  • strong fundamental knowledge of wine regions and producers
  • earnest desire to advance the wine program
  • ability to communicate clearly and organize effectively
  • willingness to share expertise with guests and staff
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • capacity to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • maintain composure and act professionally
  • ability to follow service flow and adjust to guest needs
  • effective problem resolution skills
  • ability to receive and apply constructive criticism

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years sommelier experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • extensive knowledge of wine regions both Old World and New World
  • genuine passion for wine, beer, and spirits
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to build positive relationships with guests and coworkers
  • proficiency in conducting basic business math and operating POS systems
  • fluency in English

Job Duties

  • recommend wine and beverage pairings to guests
  • upsell tableside offerings and retail wine selections
  • assist with monthly inventory management
  • maintain a clean and well-organized wine cellar
  • educate guests and staff about the wine list and beverage changes
  • deliver polished and exceptional guest service
  • oversee activities within the station
