Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- prolonged standing and walking during service hours
Job Qualifications
- Certified sommelier or higher
- minimum 3 years of wine service experience in fine dining or private club settings
- strong communication, leadership, and member relations skills
- passion for hospitality, guest engagement, and continuous learning
- flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide professional wine service during service in the dining room and banquet events
- conduct wine education and tastings for staff to promote engagement and enhance knowledge
- train and support service staff in wine knowledge, proper service techniques, and sales strategies
- monitor and uphold wine service standards in accordance with Club policies and best hospitality practices
- be well-versed with Jonathan Club's beverage program including beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic selections
- assist in all areas of the food and beverage operation when needed
- create sales incentives and promote them to staff
- partner with Surfside Grill on grab-and-go wines and beverage offerings
- provide weekly updates on sales, opportunities on the wine list, and member feedback to the food and beverage team
