Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality service
  • Court of Master Sommeliers' certification or higher preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Italian wines and regions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office accounting software and POS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and inventory management abilities
  • WSET or CMS certifications required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for wine and dedication to providing exceptional service

Job Duties

  • Manage and curate the wine book ensuring a diverse and appealing selection for our guests
  • Oversee wine inventory including proper storage and organization
  • Receive and inspect wine deliveries verifying accuracy and quality
  • Handle wine ordering maintain appropriate stock levels and sourcing new wines
  • Train staff on wine knowledge service standards and pairing suggestions
  • Conduct regular wine tastings for staff providing education and pairing recommendations
  • Develop and update wine lists ensuring accurate pricing and descriptions
  • Assist guests with wine selection offering personalized recommendations based on their preferences and menu choices
  • Maintain relationships with wine suppliers
  • Monitor wine sales and adjust selections based on customer demand and trends
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol beverage control regulations
  • Manage wine storage conditions to preserve quality
  • Provide exceptional customer service enhancing the overall dining experience
