Job Requirements
- maintain clean and organized wine cellar
- know table and seat numbers
- knowledge of cocktail and wine-based drink recipes
- understanding of wine producers, regions, vintages, and flavor profiles
- ability to open bottles and provide tableside service
- warm and professional guest demeanor
- ability to manage service flow and individual guest needs
- respond promptly to management
- flexible schedule availability including nights and weekends
- ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- minimum 2 years sommelier experience in fast-paced restaurant
- extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
- ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences
- strong work ethic and team player
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to resolve conflicts effectively
- fluency in English with ability to use POS systems
- physical ability to perform required tasks
Job Duties
- maximize beverage sales through expert recommendations
- recommend wine and food pairings to guests
- educate guests on beverage selections
- assist with monthly inventory and wine cellar maintenance
- keep staff updated on beverage changes
- maintain station cleanliness
- oversee team activities in the station
