Job Requirements

  • maintain clean and organized wine cellar
  • know table and seat numbers
  • knowledge of cocktail and wine-based drink recipes
  • understanding of wine producers, regions, vintages, and flavor profiles
  • ability to open bottles and provide tableside service
  • warm and professional guest demeanor
  • ability to manage service flow and individual guest needs
  • respond promptly to management
  • flexible schedule availability including nights and weekends
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 2 years sommelier experience in fast-paced restaurant
  • extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
  • ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences
  • strong work ethic and team player
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to resolve conflicts effectively
  • fluency in English with ability to use POS systems
  • physical ability to perform required tasks

Job Duties

  • maximize beverage sales through expert recommendations
  • recommend wine and food pairings to guests
  • educate guests on beverage selections
  • assist with monthly inventory and wine cellar maintenance
  • keep staff updated on beverage changes
  • maintain station cleanliness
  • oversee team activities in the station
