Job Requirements
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures
- Regular and consistent attendance is required
- Must be able to work well with other team members, managers and interact with guests
- Must be able to work long hours and be on feet for a long period of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
Job Qualifications
- 4-year degree in culinary arts preferred
- Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- Technical school or on the job formal training in wine and spirits preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge and understanding of math
- Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and company goals
Job Duties
- Assist in leading the overall operation of the Beverage Program
- Responsible for inventory maintenance
- Restock and maintenance of bar
- Develop a cocktail program to increase revenue and change seasonally
- Monitor bar service standards and adjust as needed
- Assist in restocking of wine
- Maintenance and upkeep of wine cellars and beverage storage areas
- Understand bar service and operations
- Train staff on wines, spirits and cocktails
- Assist with the inventory count of bar supplies and maintain a par level of these items
- Assist in managing the ordering and receiving of alcohol
- Assist in setting up of beverage tastings daily
- Ensure beverage coverage is in place at applicable services
- Maintenance and stewardship of the wine list and beverage menus
- Perform supervisor duties in the absence of the Dining Room Manager or as needed
