Job Requirements

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required
  • Must be able to work well with other team members, managers and interact with guests
  • Must be able to work long hours and be on feet for a long period of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart

Job Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in culinary arts preferred
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • Technical school or on the job formal training in wine and spirits preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and company goals

Job Duties

  • Assist in leading the overall operation of the Beverage Program
  • Responsible for inventory maintenance
  • Restock and maintenance of bar
  • Develop a cocktail program to increase revenue and change seasonally
  • Monitor bar service standards and adjust as needed
  • Assist in restocking of wine
  • Maintenance and upkeep of wine cellars and beverage storage areas
  • Understand bar service and operations
  • Train staff on wines, spirits and cocktails
  • Assist with the inventory count of bar supplies and maintain a par level of these items
  • Assist in managing the ordering and receiving of alcohol
  • Assist in setting up of beverage tastings daily
  • Ensure beverage coverage is in place at applicable services
  • Maintenance and stewardship of the wine list and beverage menus
  • Perform supervisor duties in the absence of the Dining Room Manager or as needed
