Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous sommelier or wine steward experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties and food pairings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and coordinate with kitchen staff
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Compliance with health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge on old world wine is preferred
- Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a wine-related luxury hospitality role
- An understanding of the wine making process
- Available to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Create and update wine lists with the chefs and manager
- Make informed recommendations on food and wine pairings
- Ensure that the wine cellar is fully stocked and manage inventory
- Inform guests about the variety of wines available and recommend wines according to their preferences
- Train team members on available wines and wine program
- Organize wine tasting events
- Comply with health and safety regulations
