Job Requirements

  • Available to work weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sommelier or wine steward experience preferred
  • Knowledge of wine and food pairing
  • Ability to manage inventory and organize events
  • Strong communication skills
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge on old world wine is preferred
  • Previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a wine-related luxury hospitality role
  • An understanding of the winemaking process
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for wine and excellent customer service abilities

Job Duties

  • Create and update wine lists with the chefs and manager
  • Make informed recommendations on food and wine pairings
  • Ensure that the wine cellar is fully stocked and manage inventory
  • Inform guests about the variety of wines available and recommend wines according to their preferences
  • Train team members on available wines and wine program
  • Organize wine tasting events
  • Comply with health and safety regulations
