Job Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Basic communication skills
- Minimum one year of experience in food and beverage operations preferred
- Experience with Micros or similar systems is a plus
- Certificate of completion from the Guild of Sommeliers is a plus
- Luxury hotel experience is a plus
- Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods

Job Duties
- Assist in administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions
- Teach and mentor bartenders, servers, and other associates involved in the sale of alcoholic beverages
- Guide guests through the wine list, offering detailed descriptions and recommendations based on their preferences and menu selections
- Engage guests in discussions about wine, answering questions, sharing insights, and providing memorable anecdotes about featured wines
- Educate associates about wine regions, grape varietals, flavor profiles, and food pairings through training sessions, tastings, and educational materials
- Conduct associate training on wine service standards, including proper decanting, pouring, and presentation techniques
- Maintain the wine cellar in optimal condition, ensuring proper temperature, humidity, and storage
- Conduct regular inventory audits, monitor wine aging, and track cellar rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Work with restaurant management to oversee beverage costs and pricing
- Maintain wine and cocktail lists with bartenders and beverage managers
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings
- Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
