Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • minimum two years bartending or related work
  • ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks
  • excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails
  • previous experience as a Sommelier in a luxury or fine dining location
  • flexible schedule
  • ability to work weekends and holidays
  • fluent in English
  • legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits
  • ensure quality of all food or beverage items, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • make recommendations for wine pairings with all dishes served within the resort
  • observe physical condition of facilities and equipment and suggest improvements
  • ensure menus are clean and updated
  • assist team in achieving department goals
  • set-up and clean operational areas
  • work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • maintain accurate wine inventory records
  • follow established protocols for wine requisitioning
  • ensure optimal storage conditions for wine inventory
  • conduct regular audits of wine inventory
  • monitor and manage wine cellar organization
