Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in customer service or cashiering
- ability to communicate effectively with the public
- physical ability to perform duties including standing and walking for prolonged periods
- willingness to work outdoors under various environmental conditions
- basic math and record-keeping skills
- ability to follow safety protocols and regulations
Job Qualifications

- experience in cashiering or customer service preferred
- knowledge of landfill operations and waste management regulations preferred
- ability to operate weighing equipment and maintain accurate records
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Collect fees related to the weighing of vehicles entering and leaving the landfill
- maintain records and reports related to landfill operations
- provide assistance and direction to landfill users and Convenience Centers
- perform cashiering duties and issue receipts
- screen incoming vehicles for compliance with landfill regulations
- determine vehicle and refuse classifications
- direct vehicles to appropriate areas
- weigh vehicles entering and leaving the landfill
- explain weight limits and regulations to users
- prepare charge tickets and redeem coupons
- answer telephone inquiries and provide information
- maintain a tidy work area
- perform related duties as required
