This exciting opportunity is for a Sole Chef position onboard a prestigious yacht based in the vibrant Miami area, specifically in San Lorenzo. The yacht operates primarily in the South Florida region and offers a perfect setting for culinary professionals seeking a stable and rewarding local engagement. The owner provides a comfortable crew house accommodation, but living onboard is not mandatory unless the owner is using the vessel. Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years longevity on previous yachts
- Proficiency in Mediterranean cuisine, especially Italian and French
- Experience with Asian and American dishes
- Must be located in Florida preferred for face-to-face interviews
- Ability to work Monday to Friday schedule
- Must have valid work authorization
- Physical ability to work in confined kitchen spaces
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a yacht chef
- Strong expertise in Mediterranean, Italian, and French cuisines
- Ability to prepare a variety of Asian and American dishes
- Experience working in a marine or yacht kitchen environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing itineraries
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare Mediterranean cuisine with emphasis on Italian and French dishes
- Incorporate some Asian and American dishes into menus
- Plan and execute daily menus to meet guests’ preferences
- Maintain galley cleanliness and safety standards
- Manage inventory and procurement of ingredients
- Ensure compliance with maritime food safety regulations
- Coordinate with crew and owner for smooth meal service
