Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 10 to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand and walk intermittently throughout the shift
- Ability to bend and twist frequently
- Capability to perform simple and power grasping with both hands
- Willingness to work in a non-conditioned facility with exposure to heat and cold
- Ability to work in an environment with airborne particles and exposure to bodily fluids
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and report equipment issues
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in laundry or sorting jobs is an asset
- Ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing and lifting
- Basic communication skills
Job Duties
- Open customer returned soil bags, discard plastic, spread product for visibility on soil belt
- Pre-sort classifications as required
- Sort soiled linen into appropriate bins or slots on the belt
- Move empty carts to the cleaning and reuse area
- Dispose of unusual items found in soil bags appropriately
- Call maintenance for equipment repair
- Tag broken carts for maintenance repair
